Dateline: Chicago, WANTED: your stories about researching the McKinniss/McKinnis lineage. Let all your cousins know what you might have uncovered about the families history. Who were Charles McKinniss and Rachel Carr? Where did they come from? Are we descended from the ancient MacInnes Clan as many speculate and more wish for? Where is the elusive proof?

We will be offering you the most complete family tree on the internet, but that will take time and your help. Right now MCKINNISS dOT CoM needs words and pictures about your particular family line. Do you have stories of your families’ heroes and scoundrels of the distant past?

Have you made a journey to Scotland or even Ireland to track down Charles and Rachel’s parents, siblings or birthplace? Maybe a trip to Pennsylvania to trace the family’s path to the west, how did they travel, what did they take with them on their journey? Do you have photos of the Monument to Charles and other early Butler County settlers? Have you discovered a headstone, landmark or document that reveals our colonial roots?

Maybe you have tips about genealogy or can explain how a pedigree works or what the heck is an Ahnentafel any way.

Send an email to Rob Sidio using the contact link above, with your idea for a submission to the MCKINNISS ONLINE MAGAZINE.
