    Welcome to MCKINNISS dOT CoM

My intention with McKinniss dOT CoM has always been very simple, build an online resource where McKinnis(s) family members can pool their many talents together and find Charles’ ancestral connections to Mother Scotland. Future generations I hope, will know who we are and where we came from…
Please join us in our search for Charles and I hope we can build a community that all descendants of Charles McKinnis can utilize and enjoy.

The pull of our ancestral homeland can be a great one. If the Bonnie Prince himself asked me, surely I would fight for him and for the freedom of my Scottish brothers and sisters, restoring the mighty Scotland to its rightful place in History.

No matter how "watered" down my genes may have become in the intervening 300 years since our father Charles set foot in North America, I am a proud to call myself a Scot. I am damn proud of all of my Scottish brethren. The modern world was built on the engineering prowess of Scots.

My lineage is as follows: Charles begat Charles Jr, Charles Jr begat Granville, Granville begat Asa, Asa begat Guy Granville, Guy Granville begat Guy Randolph, Guy Randolph begat Sandra Lynn and she begat me, Shanghai Sidio.

My great grandfather Guy Granville McKinniss (Grandpa Sunday) was 101 years old when he ceased to exist. His son Guy Randolph, my grandfather, a victor at and survivor of the "D" day invasion, a Scottish warrior of the highest order, returned into nothingness when he was 92 years old. It takes one hell of a lot to put a Scot down.

As I to eventually fade into the darkness of oblivion, I know that my molecules over the course of the next 100 trillion years or so will mingle with the remaining matter of my ancestors until the end of the Universe. The last vestiges of my long forgotten existence will continue on until the very end of time itself. Father Charles and Mother Rachel live on in the memories of our children, until inevitably one day in what one hopes is the farthest of distances in the future, the last descendant of Charles and Rachel return into the non existence from which they came.

Please join us in our search for our past and maybe make a new friend or two catch up with that long lost cousin etc.
